Question #2: One instance of negative stereotypes is when the store owner was told he was and acted like a crazy middle eastern person and he was an Indian man. Another part of the movie where there was negative stereotyping was used was when the white women leaned in toward her husband when they where walking past ludicris and his buddy.

Question #3: When Terrence was talking to ludacris ,“You embarrass me; you embarrass yourself.” he was implying that it was because they were both the same race. He said this because ludicris had tried to car-jack him and Terrence kept driving until he got pulled over. Ludicris understood that how he was living his life was because he used the racism to justify his own actions of acting out like that.

Question #4: I think some people see the whole race of an individual instead of just the individual because these people aren't highly exposed to a plethora of individuals of any given race which they were focused upon. When this happens people have the choice to use the race as a place to put their feelings toward their limited knowledge of that individual and/or race.

Question #5: I think it is completely natural to be racist under the impression that limited cultural exposure and that competition among humans is normal. That way any type of society (team, country, organization) represented by a specific race can have misplaced feelings toward that specific race.

Question #6:You're born a race, and culture is learned. If your culture believes they are better than other people based on race. Race is just a persons breed, how their ancestors had evolved based on their living conditions and mates. People generalize how their entire race acts based on how their own family acts. The family is a main source of information for an individual so all information, true or untrue, circulating in a family isn't always questioned.

Question #7: We can't end racism, no. Over time though racism might extinguish. Perhaps if enough multi-cultured individuals existed, more people taught cultural tolerance, and also looked down upon racism without pointing fingers when someone does something promoting rasicm.

After playing the REAL monopoly game it seemed to be an exact mirror of society; the poor get too poor and die out, the middle class breaks even in the end or makes little headway into the upper class, and the upper class still is making more and more money. Wealth gives people a head start in life and a completely different perspective on living- the well doesn't seem like it could ever run dry. Without wealth you can not plan on being apart of upper class lifestyle. You also can't decide to become wealthy since wealth is money that is built up over time. During the "people like us" video, the trailer dump kids wanted to look nice and presentable- i saw this as being a characteristic of upper class lifestyle- he, if born in the right family, could have had a matching lifestyle to his personality, but because he wasn't he is forced to live the life he leads and he feels embarrassed. Too many people make a bigger deal about class than it should be. In the end everyone is a person and its the lifestyle that you have chosen directly or indirectly. However you as an individual have to decide if you want to set your future family up with money so that it can begin to generate some sort of wealth over the next generations. I like how social class is set up because without the poor- who do you compare the rich? and without the two extremes of rich and poor how would someone be balanced? Everyone has opportunity to climb the social ladder- its just not all equal opportunity- but hey some of it just comes down to luck and who your family is.

What a man is depends on his character; but what he does, and what
we think of what he does, depends on his circumstances. The characteristics that
ruin a man in one class made him eminent in another

I think the quote should be "who a man is..." and i also think that i would judge a person based on their character and not their circumstances. Also The characteristics that a man has does not make or break him. i think no matter your class you are supposed to find a position in society to work towards. This could be how you want your future lineage to live whether it be upper class , middle, or if you really wanted to, lower- it depends on the type of culture you like. you should have goal for a new experience and you should utilize and exploit your personal talents (characteristics of you) to get there.

I agrue that the single most useful characteristic that applies in every single class is the salesmen attitude. On a low class level you see a lot of illegal sales and everyday hustling. On the middle class level from an early age you are taught the buy/sell/trade market of poekmon and yugioh and crazy bones and all other collectibles, and the upper class level you generally just playing monopoly with your money but still all about sales.

Punishable deviance is a social construct but it is mainly controlled by the government in charge of punishment. Unless its a government less in control or more lenient on non serious crimes then it will always be a social construct among all societies. It is very difficult to regulate punishable deviance. It all comes down to the beliefs that are shared within the people in power of making those laws. Our punishment/penitentiary system shows us that we are hippo critical of what "health" really means to our citizens, we are also paranoid of our own citizens since we lock up a majority for non violent crimes, and we enjoy creating an everlasting problem since we don't feel the need to rehabilitate those criminals that we put in a really long "time out" and talk to them so they understand what they did wrong and how they're going to do better next time. Sadly the people that are being put in jail are the poorest of the nation too. A lot of their criminal actions are out of desperation since jobs with minimum wage aren't enough to support the minimal existence of life.

I have the same answer to fix the problem-------- Riot haha

gender differences in socialization is definitely a major factor in how everyone grows up.
if there weren't different genders to factor in to socialization then socialization loses a lot of its dynamic. Its because of the two separate, but similar, socialization patterns- guys tend to be way more competitive, but girls do more communicating over all. Just imagine if those two gender socialization differences were switched and boys talked as much as girls and girls were in your face competitive, it would bring a totally different society. The presence of stereotypes like this mold marketing that had been present my whole childhood. One instance of me facing the gender differences was with a toy stroller buggy and my stuffed animals. I had a pink plastic stroller only because they didn't make strollers in any other color, and i wanted to wheel around my stuffed animals as fat as possible down the hall way. So sort of ironic that i was being a crazy boy running and going as fast as possible, while still taking care of my stuffed animals and being the proud owner of a pink stroller buggy.

The socialization process for children now is different than previous generations because of the advancement of technology and media. The media has evolved to be better at hooking children in to new TV shows, new toys, and to act older than they are. Media allows children to mimic it and the media has become too grown up, because of this children are losing their innocence earlier and earlier, this can be seen 100% in how girls clothing has changed and reached out to younger girls too. Because of the girls trying to mature faster the boys take the heat for having to try and catch up and they are so involved with their online video games they don't even want to leave the house and socialize at all! These are not concerns to me personally, because i feel that it is each individual persons obligation to decide how they want to deal with the ever changing environment of society. Some may say well what if i had a kid then what would i think, well i wouldn't have a TV on in the house- or online video games and i would be more inclined to veer away from new technology and allow my own kid to try and adapt to the society on their own.
